Locate the failed event
Begin with the exact judgement and the client rules used for that play. A slider contains more than its starting circle, and a failed slider event should not automatically be described as a missed head. Inspect cursor movement and held inputs through the relevant part. When only a summary score is available, keep the cause unresolved rather than inventing a tracking diagnosis.
Look at the transition as well as the slider
If the same slider repeatedly breaks, review the preceding object and the next target. Did the cursor arrive late, cut a curve, leave while input was still required, or move correctly but release? These observations lead to different exercises. An apparently easy slider may be difficult because of how you enter or leave it, not because its shape alone is demanding.
Practice: keep the exit in the exercise
Suggested exercise: repeat a short section containing the preceding object, the entire slider and the next few objects. Focus first on completing the slider, then inspect whether the next input remains on time. If you slow the section, keep its geometry unchanged and return to the original rate afterwards. Do not practise only the slider in isolation and assume its transition is solved.
Check that you did not move the error
Count slider-event failures and errors immediately after the slider across several attempts. Fewer slider breaks accompanied by more late next-object misses is a tradeoff, not a completed fix. Test another slider with a comparable exit direction. Keep stable, lazer and Classic settings separate so a scoring-rule change is not mistaken for a technique improvement.
